What Is All-On-X?

All-On-X is a dental implant option that uses strategically placed dental implants to support a full dental prosthetic. We typically use either four or six implants, but every case is different. We can often perform this procedure in a single visit to our office, meaning you’ll get your smile back fast.

The Benefits
Of All-On-X

The All-On-X dental implant procedure not only enhances the appearance of your smile but also restores its functionality. With the implants and restoration securely in place, you’ll regain the ability to speak, eat, and smile naturally. Say goodbye to the hassle of messy adhesives, as the implants offer a stable, fixed attachment for the prosthetic. With this seamless dental solution, you’ll experience convenience and confidence – once again enjoying all your favorite foods and activities.

The All-On-X Procedure

When you come in with an entire arch of missing or failing teeth, we may recommend All-On-X dental implants to restore your smile. You’ll have a consultation with our team to determine the state of your oral health. We will also take images of your mouth to help with treatment planning. During this phase, we use cone-beam computed tomography, or CBCT, to create a 3D rendering of your mouth, jaw, and neck. This imaging allows us to develop a precise treatment plan for you.

On procedure day, we will place the implants in your jaw. The implant, which is a small titanium screw, goes under the gums and into the jawbone, allowing it to eventually fuse with your bone and provide a strong base for your full-arch prosthetic. The placement of the implants is designed to maximize the stability of your new smile.

After the procedure, you’ll leave our office with a temporary restoration to cover the implants and allow your mouth to function normally. Over the course of a few months, your implants will fuse with the jawbone in a process known as osseointegration. Once this is complete, we will fit you for your custom-made prosthetic.

Recovery After
All-On-X Surgery

Immediately following your implant placement, you’ll likely experience some swelling and discomfort. Ice packs and over-the-counter pain medication typically help, but of course, contact us right away if you have concerns. It is important that you follow your post-operative instructions carefully and maintain good oral hygiene while the implant sites heal. When your mouth is healing, stick to soft foods and gradually introduce other options as your mouth heals. We will schedule a follow-up appointment after your procedure to ensure everything looks healthy and that your implants are fusing as they should.

Am I A Candidate For
All-On-X?

It is important to note that not everyone is a candidate for All-On-X dental implants. If you’re missing most or all of your teeth, ask our team about the procedure and if it could be right for you. Candidates must possess adequate jaw bone density (or undergo bone grafting if necessary), be free from gum disease, and maintain good overall health. If you move forward with the All-On-X procedure, it will be important for you to maintain a good home oral hygiene routine to preserve the implants.
